So what makes iMovify Motion Chairs so special?

Many things go into the design of a motion chair, but should you find yourself comparing an iMovify motion chair to some other vendor, the word of the day is "feedback." The computer in an iMovify motion chair has very accurate sensors that allow it to know its actual position. When we tell it to go to a certain position, that's where it will go. Each time. Repeatedly. This makes for a consistency of motion that was previously unobtainable at this price point. More importantly, what you feel when riding on an iMovify chair is what the motion designer intended for you. Feedback is the key. Without accurate feedback as to the chair's position, you might get nudged in a direction not contemplated by the designer. You could certainly be bounced around. But when it comes to generating feels and emotions through motion, accurate and repeatable motion is critical.

Whenever an engineering type starts explaining feedback, the discussion often ends up in the toilet, literally. The example of proper feedback often used is the standard flush toilet. When the lever is depressed, the water rushes out into the bowl from a water reservoir. When the lever is released, the water reservoir starts to refill. When it is nearing capacity, the speed of filling slows until it finally stops just in time to avoid overflowing onto the floor. This bit of magic works thanks to accurate feedback. In this case, the level of the water in the tank. Without accurate feedback, your floors would quickly be a mess. Or there wouldn't be any water in the bowl, which is a different type of problem.

As you can probably imagine, without a good feedback system a motion chair would just be an expensive mess.

Have you ever been in a motion theaters? In most motion theater rides, you are sitting on a bench seat.  You are experiencing a flying film and the plane banks right. People sitting on the right side of the theater will drop while people on the left will rise. The problem with this is that your seat in the theater determines what you feel, and everyone's motions will differ. The result of this is that in most motion theaters, you do get the big feel of motion, but it is more of a generalized type of motion. With iMovify, you get the correct motion each time.

iMovify has two different motion chairs gearing up for production.

iMovify Home is a low cost 2 DOF motion chair. As its name implies, it is small enough and affordable enough for home use.

iMovify Pro is a 6DOF motion chair. Those extra DOFs do cost a bit more, but that is just the reality of building physical products. Extra parts cost extra. iMovify Pro is ideal for motion systems that are used in a more public arena. This is the one that you would want for an Arcade, or a ride film theater, or even in the lobby of a regular theater.
